About
The short version
Pro Stock North America sells sticks built for professional players, at a fraction of what the same tech costs at retail. We source directly from NHL, AHL, and NCAA equipment rooms: team issue sticks, pro returns, and manufacturer overstock that never made it to a store shelf.
We buy in small lots, usually 10 to 20 sticks per model. Every listing is inspected and graded by hand before it goes live, and once a lot sells out, it’s gone for good. That’s not a marketing line; it’s just how pro stock works.
Found us on SidelineSwap? You already know us: we sell there as Prostock NA. This site is our home base: the same shelf, every lot we have, and first dibs on new drops.
How grading works
- New Unused pro stock. Factory fresh. It just never went to retail.
- Team Issue Built to a pro team’s order and pulled from the equipment room unused.
- Pro Return Made for a pro player and returned by the team. May show light handling; anything visible is noted in the listing.
- Game Used Skated in real games. Honest wear, described and photographed on the listing.
- Player Edition Built to a specific pro’s custom spec: curve, flex, or graphics you won’t find at retail.
Every listing states the exact grade and describes any marks. What’s disclosed is what you get.
Frequently asked questions
What does “pro stock” actually mean?
Gear manufacturers build for professional players and teams rather than for retail shelves. It’s the same technology as the top retail models, often with custom specs the pros asked for, without the retail price tag. Read the full guide.
Are the sticks new?
Many are. Every listing carries a grade badge (New, Team Issue, Pro Return, Game Used, or Player Edition) and describes the exact condition of that stick. Nothing is sold ungraded.
Why is there only one of most sticks?
We buy small lots straight from team equipment rooms, so most models are limited to a handful of units. When a lot sells out it doesn’t restock, and the next lot will be something different. If you want first dibs, join the drop alerts email list and you’ll hear about new lots before they hit the site.
Will a pro stock stick feel like the retail version?
Not always, and that’s often the point. Pros order custom flex, curves, lies, and blade builds, and some sticks are wrapped with different graphics than what’s inside. The spec panel on every listing shows the actual hand, flex, and curve of the stick you’re buying, so go by that rather than the retail name. Our curve chart shows how pro curves match up across brands.
How do I read the codes on a pro stock stick?
Pro sticks carry a player ID, flex and build code instead of a retail hangtag. Our guide to reading pro stock stick codes walks through Bauer and CCM labels. Every listing also shows the hand, flex and curve, so you never have to decode a stick to buy it.
How fast do you ship?
Orders placed before 12pm ET on a business day ship the same day; anything later ships the next business day. Delivery runs 1 to 5 business days in Canada and 3 to 6 to the US, and you get a tracking number by email the moment it ships.
Do you ship to the US? What about duties?
Yes. We ship across Canada and the United States. For US orders, all duties and taxes are already included in the posted price. The number you see is the number you pay.
Is there a discount for buying more than one stick?
Yes. Add any 2+ sticks to your cart and $10 comes off the order automatically at checkout; 3+ sticks takes $19 off. Mix and match: the sticks don’t have to be the same model.
Can I return a stick?
Most items can be returned within 30 days of delivery if they’re unused and in the condition you received them. Sticks that have been used on ice can’t be returned, so check the hand, flex, curve, and length against the listing before you tape up. Wear that’s disclosed in the listing isn’t grounds for a return, but anything we didn’t disclose is. Full details are in our refund policy.
Is there a manufacturer warranty?
No. Pro stock equipment isn’t covered by the manufacturer’s retail warranty. That’s part of why it costs so much less. Every stick is inspected and graded before listing, anything damaged in transit is covered, and if an item arrives not as described, email admin@prostocknorthamerica.com and we’ll make it right.
How do I hear about new drops first?
Join the drop alerts list. The signup is on the homepage and on every sold-out listing. New lots sell out fast, and the email goes out before they hit the site.
